On our third episode of the data and surveillance series I talk to Fleur Velders, who is a child psychiatrist at the Academic Hospital of Utrecht. Here, they are researching whether the use of data may radically improve the care given to psychiatric patients. It could aid in the better administration of medicine or even help predict whether someone may commit suicide. Considering its far-reaching implications, Fleur and I discuss how it may change the way we think about free will and the future of the human psyche.
