Joran van der Sloot, convicted murderer of Peruvian woman Stephany Flores, attempted suicide in prison by hanging himself with a sheet. He also confessed to killing American tourist Natalee Holloway in 2005, although her body was never found. Van der Sloot is now on suicide watch and expressed remorse for his actions.
