WHO IS THIS MAN

“And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”
—Matthew 8:26 –27

The disciples thought they knew Jesus. They had walked with Him, heard Him teach, and seen Him perform miracles. But on that particular stormy night, when waves threatened to overwhelm their boat and fear gripped them, they discovered something far greater.
With a word, He spoke to the raging sea, and the wind and waves bowed in obedience. Overwhelmed, they could only ask, “What manner of man is this?”

It is a question that still stirs in all of us today. Who is this Man?
