Description

A cool start to the week will give way to warmer weather by midweek and a chance of some storms by the weekend.

Monday’s low temperature of 31 was the coldest since October 24, but the weather will warm this week into the 60s on Tuesday and the 70s on Wednesday and Thursday.

National Weather Service meteorologist Keith Cooley says a weather system will move into the area on Friday and Saturday with a chance of some thunderstorms.

Cooley also says another storm system could affect the area the weekend of November 15th, but it’s too early to tell if any snow will come with it because of differing forecasting models.

He also says the recent rain has caused the drought status for most of western Kentucky to be removed.
