Devonport hosted a big 10-race card on Sunday for their penultimate meeting of the season and riding doubles were shared between Brandon Louis, Brendon McCoull and Daniel Ganderton who all had doubles. That program is the focus for Matt Reid on the Week in review podcast.

Codi Jordan’s chase for the apprentice’ title is becoming tighter and tighter with every meeting that passes. Codi was the favourite for the jockey challenge on Sunday but left without a winner and now has two meetings left to notch the two winners needed to match Kyle Maskiell’s tally of 38.

Red Helmet made the successful immediate jump from maiden to class 1 company, running good time in comparison to the unbeaten And Beyond in the last race of the day. From that race Matt has found a pair of Black Book runs, both entering that race first-up from the same trial in late June.
