The Devonport portion of the 2020/21 season concluded last Sunday and on episode 26 of the Week in review podcast, Matt Reid looks at some of the top Devonport performers across the entire season as well as the eight-race program on Sunday.

Leanne Gaffney finished the season as the top trainer on her home track, her 26 winners coming at an amazing strike rate of 29%. Brendon McCoull held on to the position as top rider in Devonport despite missing Sunday’s program, his 23 winners coming from 101 rides.

Looking at Sunday’s program there were several close finishes, particularly in the maiden/class 1 (1650m) which is the race that Matt has found a Black Book runner from.
