The first meeting of the new season was run in Devonport on Sunday and early premiership leads are with Team Wells, Stuart Gandy, Siggy Carr and Troy Baker after respective doubles on the eight-race program.

On episode 28 of the Week in review podcast, Matt Reid works through that program, paying extra attention to the second race which produced a very impressive winner and a plunge that went amiss on Broadway Babe.

Cheeky One continued to build on her picket fence in the first leg of the quaddie and Matt says that her ability to win from forward or back will have connections particularly excited about her prospects going forward.
