Monday-Saturday (Oct 13-18), our sun transits Gate 32: Preservation, Failure, and Veneration. The only constant is change. Impermanence is our spiritual reality. What endures? What is worth enduring? We only fail when we cut ourselves off from the whole. “Failures” in life are needed to further what sustains us. What doesn’t work must fall away for what does to work. This week we have the ability support what deserves supporting and let go of what no longer serves life. Not in isolation, but in relationship, and in the community. The deep gift here is to see ourselves in the web of life, and on the “Hawkin’s Scale of Consciousness.” We can Venerate life at every turn, and every little part, as we let go of our fear of death or being cast out by the tribe, listening to our natural instinct for knowing what is needed to support life in us and around us.
