Speculators are being closely watched after the latest CFTC report, with big specs adding 20,849 contracts to their net short in Chicago and managed money piling on another 8,702 contracts short in Kansas City. Global competition is tightening, with EU soft wheat exports from July to December below last years levels. March 26th Chicago Board of Trade wheat closed at $5.17, up 1.5 cents, and Kansas City March closed at $5.28, up 6.75 cents.
