Description

As of January 2016, 23 states allow for Medical Marijuana use in some form yet INFORMATION on MMJ is still NOT TAUGHT IN MEDICAL SCHOOLS.  50% of Adults have experienced cannabis and only about 5% OF MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS understand the science and benefits of MMJ.  That means 95% of MDs have NO SCIENTIFIC/RESEARCH knowledge on the Medical Benefits of Cannabis.  This is not only astounding but a disservice to patients and true healthcare.

Patients should have the RIGHT TO CHOOSE their medicine along with being able to speak to informed healthcare professionals that have been educated on MMJ to help them make the best choices for their lives.  This goes hand-in-hand with having accessibility along with providing the best quality to their chosen medicine.

Joining me tonight is Marijuana for Medical Professionals Conference Coordinator, Martha Montemayor, of Cannabis Clinicians Colorado- discussing why it is so important for medical professionals to be educated along with what to expect from November's conference.
