Women In... Episode 92: Tahira Bellot - Seven States, Five Teams, One Trailblazer: The Rise of a Barrier-Breaking Black Woman in Sports
Description
In February of 2023 Tahira Bellot became the Director, Premium Service for the Las Vegas Raiders, marking her second stint in the NFL, but her first as a director in the prominent league. Prior to becoming a Director with the Raiders Tahira worked as Director of Ticket Sales and Service for WNBA franchise, The Dallas Wings, National Lacrosse League’s Panther City LAX, Nashville Superspeedway and the Infamous Monster Mile with NASCAR and Elevate Sports Ventures for the second installment of the XFL with the Seattle Dragons.
Before matriculating to leadership roles, her career began volunteering and interning with Orlando City Soccer and Atlanta United in their inaugural seasons in the MLS in The Communications Department. She transitioned to revenue generation with her first full time role in the industry as an Inside Sales Membership Consultant with the Atlanta Hawks.
During her career journey Tahira has received an NFL Best Practice recognition with the San Francisco 49ers, created and implemented the program that earned Nashville Superspeedway the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Award. In addition, she was responsible for selling out the first Cup Series Race in Middle Tennessee in 40 years and led the highest grossing revenue team in the XFL. Her latest achievement to date was taking the Raiders from 16 out of 32 teams in the NFL to 7 in overall season ticket member satisfaction in less than a year.
Before joining the sports industry, Tahira was part of the top 1% of service professionals in the world as a Learning Coach with the Ritz Carlton. Here she trained other employees on the integrity of the brand and its world class white glove service. This and other positions in her past have uniquely qualified her and contributed to the fast pace in which her career has grown. If you ask her, she will say it was nothing but hard work, and an unwavering grind mentality, characteristics she attributes to being a daughter of immigrants and a first generation American.
Tahira received her B.S. in Sports Marketing and Media from Full Sail University where she graduated Valedictorian after having attended prominent HBCU Hampton University.
