In this episode listeners will learn about the Youth Apprenticeship Program where regional employers and Trident Technical College are offering rising juniors, seniors, and graduating seniors the opportunity to “learn to earn.” Our special guests from Trident Technical College will be Melissa Stowasser, Assistant Vice President of Community Partnerships and Ellen Kaufman, Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator. These two Trident Technical College leaders will share their insights on apprenticeships, dual-enrollment, and the career pathways that students can pursue in the Youth Apprenticeship program in the Charleston Metro Region. Melissa and Ellen will also share stories from the field that highlight the powerful impact that apprenticeships can have for students, their families, and the economic health of the community.
