Publisher's Summary:
"Wuthering Heights" is Emily Brontë's only novel. It was first published in 1847 under the pseudonym Ellis Bell, and a posthumous second edition was edited by her sister Charlotte.

The name of the novel comes from the Yorkshire manor on the moors on which the story centers (as an adjective, "wuthering" is a Yorkshire word referring to turbulent weather). The narrative tells the tale of the all-encompassing and passionate, yet thwarted, love between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, and how this unresolved passion eventually destroys them and many around them.

Story is marvelous as always so either go do this version for free elsewhere or shell out for a quality reading on Audible.

QUE PENA DE NARRADORA
This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
EL LIBRO ES MUY BUENO PERO CON OTRO NARRADOR.
Any additional comments?
ES UN EXCELENTE CLÁSICO PERO CON LA ESTÁ NARRADORA NO PUEDES APRECIARLO, ES CONFUSO, NO SABES CUANDO CAMBIA DE PERSONAJES, Y LA VOZ ES TEDIOSA..

beautiful but disappointing
Bronte's descriptions and smooth way of writing is widely talented and easily imagined. Her characters however, I found unbelievable and without redeeming qualities of any sort.

Truly one of the best books I have ever read!!!

Very good book. Narrator was so versatile with so many voice s for the characters!

Loved the Narration, Didn't enjoy the book as much
While I certainly didn't dislike the book by any means, It was the very odd occasion that I actually liked the various movie versions better than the book. I felt that there weren't any redeeming qualities for the characters. The book portrayed both Cathy and Heathcliff as intolerable people, which made it hard to even care or have a heartfelt feeling for their hardships at all. Actually, it was hard not to just hate them altogether. At least in the movie(s), you got a glimpse of their childhood friendship, as well as their passionate love as teenagers, and even bit of their good natured side (even if it was only a TINY glimpse for heathcliff), but it made you at least have some heart for them and empathy for their agony. It was hard to feel anything at for any of the characters in the book...except for Nellie and Edgar, which is natural I suppose, but I do feel like the book could have allowed for more feeling for the two star crossed lovers.
