David knew that his trusting in the Lord, the Lord would always be his Shepard and his friend, through all of the days of his life – through all the changes; in every variety of situation and circumstance, he would always have the favor of God’s goodness and mercy. And, once life closes here, he was assured that he would dwell with the Lord in heaven.
