snowy day reality check

If you heard it once you've heard it many times. You don't get to decide what happens to you. You only get to choose how you react and respond.

I recently had a guest on the SunShining podcast, who really loves winter. When asked what he loved about winter he responded, "Whats not to like?"

That is a good question. Whats not to like?

Why do you not like something?

Obviously as humans we have many reasons for liking or not liking things.

Or do we?

I just want to encourage to take some time today to think about why you like things the way you like things.

And about why you don't like things the way you don't like things.

Do you like snow?

Do you dislike snow?

Do you like or not like snow shoveling?

If you like it cool. If you don't like it maybe it's because...?

Do you love the cold?

Do you hate cold?

Today's Challenge: Try something new today.

Anyway as part of today's reality check here are some more questions:

Are you content with your current reality?

What are some things you like or don't like about your current reality?

Do you feel stuck by your current reality?

Where is your current reality taking you? (Are you sliding downhill in a sled?)

Where are you taking your current reality? (Are you walking uphill with a sled?)

(Wow, these last two questions are really profound, but my questions in parentheses may not be the best examples.)

Did something negative recently happen to affect your current reality?

How will you respond? Why did you not like it?
