ЕPISODE 20. How to improve our relationships with food?
Description
Healthy eating behaviour and body image have been studied. It is a new area of research (it started some 30 years ago), but there is already a sufficient body of knowledge to use it practically (just like quantum physics!)
It is important and cool too!
Why?
We often can't lose weight because we are not in full control of our eating behaviour.
We know what to eat, don't we?
For many people, moderation is a problem.
Not inflammation. Not sleep. Not fat/carb ratio. Not gut health. Not hormones.
More often than not the problem is in overeating/ emotional eating/ bad relationships with food/ binges/ disordered eating - wherever you are on a spectrum. You do not have to have a clinical eating disorder to ... suffer. We are serious: this compromises our quality of life.
Yes, we can adjust your diet and exercise so that weight loss is easier for you.
But there is a strong psychological aspect.
We discuss it in detail in this episode.
Here is the theoretical model we are discussing in practical terms: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/232489009_Exploring_a_model_of_intuitive_eating_with_college_women
