Joanna Robinson and Rob Mahoney work the overnight shift at the emergency room to recap the two-episode premiere of ‘The Pitt,’ the Max original series from much of the creative team behind ‘ER.’ They discuss it as a spiritual successor to the popular ’90s drama, their relationship with the medical procedural genre, and how its high-concept premise is executed (1:35 ).
