This first feature spotlights Roxanne Richardson, a conference attendee who shared her excitement about everything she learned. She said she didn’t even know what a Peer Recovery Specialist was before attending—and was amazed at the professionalism and compassion of everyone she met.
Roxanne especially loved the Medicaid Billing breakout session, calling it “fantastic.”
“I thought they were all social workers,” she said, “but to find out they were peer recovery specialists—that was powerful.”
