Does poor sleep the night before a race impact performance, and if so, what can be done about it? In this week’s podcast, Hanna and Matt get answers to these and other questions from Yale University sleep experts Meir Kryger and Lynelle Schneeberg. For those of us who love the sport of triathlon, Emma-Kate Lidbury has lived a fairytale life. Like many of us, Emma-Kate discovered triathlon as an adult, doing her first race on a lark with no expectations. Unlike most of us, however, she not only fell in love with the sport but also discovered that she was extraordinarily good at it—so good that she went on to turn pro and win six Ironman 70.3 events and crack the top ten in 70.3 Worlds on two occasions. But the fairytale doesn’t end there. Upon retiring from the sport, Emma-Kate took a job as the managing editor of Triathlete Magazine, where she gets to think, talk, and write about the sport we love every day. In this week’s podcast, Emma-Kate shares highlights from her fairytale life as well as lessons she learned along the way that can help others live out their fantasies in the sport.  Be sure to subscribe, so you’re notified when new episodes drop every Thursday.Connect With Emma-Kate:InstagramTwitterRead Her WritingConnect With Us:Hanna  @hannadoesfitness, Hanna's JamsMatt @fitzgerald.matt, Matt's Jams@8020enduranceSign up for the 80/20 Endurance Newsletter hereOffers:The Endurance Event | Our online event designed to share the latest ideas and best practices in endurance training and technology, brought to you by the biggest names in endurance sportsInsideTracker | Get 25% off the entire InsideTracker store at insidetracker.com/eightytwentyEndeavorun Training Camps | use code 8020PODCAST for $150 off Austin, TX  Training CampConnect With Us:Hanna @hannadoesfitness, Hanna's JamsMatt @fitzgerald.matt, Matt's Jams80/20 EnduranceSign up for the 80/20 Endurance Newsletter here
