Mother’s Day is just around the corner and to celebrate we’ve gathered our favorite podcasts for moms. These podcasts have everything from inspiring stories to comedic conversations, all created by moms for moms.
Listening to these podcasts is the perfect way to get a little “me” time, whether you’re driving to work, picking up the kids from school, or doing everything in between. Here’s our list of the most empowering podcasts for moms:
1. Power of Moms Radio
What started as an online community for thousands of mothers around the world eventually became a podcast too. During each episode of Power of Moms Radio, host and mom, April Perry tackles a different topic, from dealing with picky eaters to learning to say “no.” With 200+ episodes, there are plenty of interesting discussions and inspiring ideas to keep your ears entertained.
2. Coffee + Crumbs
Coffee + Crumbs is an online journal filled with hundreds of essays about motherhood by mothers. Three years ago, the site’s founder Ashlee Gadd decided to start a podcast, and on it, she and co-hosts Indiana Adams and April Hoss share their personal stories. Funny, emotional, and endearing, this podcast will give you all the feels.
3. One Bad Mother
Motherhood isn’t always perfect, and sometimes you just need to laugh off the hard times. Enter the One Bad Mother podcast. Each week hosts Biz Ellis and Theresa Thorn engage in hilarious, uncensored discussions about the ups and downs of motherhood. Often they’re joined by guests and receive calls from their listeners, who share their own “genius moments and failures.” While this podcast is great for enjoying anytime, be sure to listen with headphones if you have little ears around, as there is occasional cursing.
4. Big Little Choices
Sri Bodanapu started her site Big Little Choices while navigating her own journey as a mother of a two-year-old. During each episode of her podcast (also called Big Little Choices), Sri talks with inspiring women about the unconventional but important choices they’ve made as women, moms, and people.
5. The Boss Mom Podcast
Nurturing a baby and a business it tough, but Dana Malstaff and the ladies she interviews on the The Boss Mom Podcast are ready to help you navigate the “mompreneur” life. From hiring a staff to getting your kids to go to sleep, each episode covers a different business or parent-related pain point.
Bonus: For all the “boss dads” out there, there’s the Boss Dad Podcast too.
