This Yoga Nidra is designed to allow you to experience the power of your own presence. The Shamans talk about the visible and the invisible, the form and the formless and walking both worlds. They have developed capacities, available to us all, but poorly understood by most. As humans we have undeveloped sensory capacities. Sometimes referred to as the sixth sense, also known as intuition, we have a capability to sense into situations and to intuit information beyond what is visible to us. We have this capacity because we have an energy field and we are part of a wider energy field. When we say things like “you could cut the atmosphere with a knife” or talk about “good vibes” and “bad vibes”, this is how we are picking up on that information. The more present we are, the more connected to our own energy field and the wider energy field, the more access we have to our own intuition and to have insight into both the visible and the invisible, the form and the formless. The intention for the practice is “I am fully present in my body and connected to the field”.When we repeat this intention outside of the practice, it should evoke the state of presence we achieve in the practice, thereby helping us to connect with the power of our own presence.

This Yoga Nidra is for you if you are:- seeking greater joy and fulfillment in your life. - would like to have a greater sense of purpose and recognize that doing what you love will guide you towards your purpose- are interested in the idea that we all have a seed of greatness inside of us, and you want to identify that seed, your unique contribution in the world, and to nurture it. This is often articulated as the inner acorn evolving into an oak tree.
This Yoga Nidra is for you if you:- suffer from insomnia and have trouble sleeping- if you have problems dropping off to sleep at night- if you wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble getting back to sleep.This Yoga Nidra is designed to help you to fall asleep as quickly and efficiently as possible.Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based meditation technique, which means that it harnesses the body’s falling asleep mechanism to access a deep state of meditation. In a typical Yoga Nidra, the practitioner guides you from the waking state to a deep sleep state and back to the waking state, allowing you to have a conscious experience of a full sleep cycle. This particular Yoga Nidra does not guide you back to the waking state. As the intention of this meditation is to support you in falling asleep, you will be guided to the deepest part of your sleep cycle and the meditation will end there. Consider the practice to be a tugboat guiding you into your own sleep cycle.

The intention for the practice is “I am released from my self-image to explore, expand and experience the infinite potential unfolding from within me.” In other words, I let go of my conditioning, what I’ve been told or I tell myself about what I can and cannot do, and open myself up to exploring my full potential. ## In this Yoga Nidra you use a technique known as "tension and relaxation".  I will invite you to inhale and to hold your breath as you tense various parts of your body, and then to exhale and relax when your body prompts you to do so.  Only hold to your comfort level to stay in the experience.  If you cannot have undue pressure in your head for medical or other reasons, please breathe normally throughout the exercise.  ## This is a long Yoga Nidra and the pace is slow so it is recommended for those with some prior experience of the practice or of other relaxation techniques.
