Welcome to another episode of A Cup of Positivitea! We are still in March – which is our Inspirational Women theme of the month. This week I am really proud to have Sarah Poynton on the show. Sarah is a property investor, entrepreneur and mentor. She is my personal mentor and a big inspiration to me, so I am really happy to finally have her on. I originally had her saved in my mind as a guest I wanted to interview in person but lockdown just hasn’t allowed for that so, I thought it was only right to interview her during this month’s theme. Sarah tells me all about her experience within the property industry. How she went from £60k in debt to debt free in 23 months and why she has chosen to not only become a property investor but also mentor people to do the same. Sarah has a diverse property portfolio, runs an education company and also contributes to social housing in the UK by helping to house people in difficult situations, in some instances without homes at all. So, she, is what I see as an all-round successful women in business and I hope you enjoy hearing her interview. Welcome to another episode of A Cup of Positivitea! We are now on episode 5 of Season 2. This week on the podcast I have Ashley Turner - domestic violence survivor, award winning professional, podcaster, blogger and empowerment coach. Ashley has had to learn to overcome insecurities and the fear of being a single mother, especially when it came to thinking that no one would ever want to love her and her child, based on the emotional abuse she suffered whilst in an abusive relationship. Ash tells us of how she adopted a warrior mindset to get her through dark times and how she strategically planned her escape and is now in a much better place. She also loves to wear red lipstick because there was a time in her violent relationship when she was forbidden to wear it. This was apparently seen as seeking attention from other men. She now wears it proudly and walks as a bold, fierce and empowered woman. Follow Ash on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/empowerwithash/ Check out her website https://www.empowerwithash.com/about During this episode, I am also drinking Twist Teas in Mulled Wine, as part of a collection of teas that were gifted to me for the podcast. Welcome to Part 2 of our double bill for International Men’s Day today. The aim of this day is to celebrate male role models and to raise awareness of men’s issues such as mental health, toxic masculinity, and the prevalence of male suicide. So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to my 2nd role model of the week, Warren Ryan – Founder of the Got This Movement. Warren is such an uplifting person and has overcome feelings of depression and anxiety growing up as a foster child. His mum suffered with drug abuse issues, which unfortunately meant that Warren and his siblings were separated and taken into care at a young age. However, as an adult, Warren decided to use his childhood traumas to fuel his personal development journey and help other people do the same. He is now a public speaker and shares his story globally. He has also implemented a teaching program for children to get them more excited about learning, with a modern YouTube themed twist. And he is now launching the Got This Movement - inspiring people everywhere to set goals and be collectively accountable to making those goals happen. I am so grateful to have met Warren and to have the opportunity to interview him on the podcast. Please be aware that some of the topics we discuss and stories he shares are quite sensitive and personal and perhaps may be triggering for some listeners. However, I really do hope you enjoy the episode and let me know if so.
