This episode is not one I wanted to record, but one I needed to in order to take care of my mental health, be the mom I want to be, and ultimately show up for you on this podcast the way that I want to.I am going to be pausing the podcast and pausing my social media, for an unknown amount of time (hopefully not too long!), in order to do some much needed work on my mental health, my relationship with entrepreneurship, and my sense of identity. This episode vulnerably shares what has led me to this very difficult decision and why I think it is best for me and my coaching clients and my family even though it comes with a ton of fears and worries.Operating from integrity and authenticity is top priority for me, so I have to practice what I preach, listen to my intuition telling me I am out of alignment, take a step back, ask for help, get realigned, pivot and evolve, and step into the next chapter of my motherhood journey, business journey, and individual journey on a healthier, more sustainable foundation.I firmly believe breakdowns lead to breakthroughs and right now I am in a breakdown phase so that I can learn, grow, release, evolve, and step into a new chapter helping others in a better way.I really hope you listen to this episode and if you resonate with any of it, consider where you may need to take a pause in your life and know that it is okay to take a step back in order to take bigger steps forward in the future. This isn’t goodbye, it is see you soon, and I can’t wait to find my way back here!Connect with Kassy: Website: www.kassysunshine.com Instagram: @kassysunshinelifecoachQuote:“There's no trophy at the end of life, there's no certificate. This episode is about overcoming the feeling of not being enough, doing enough, and achieving enough so you can feel worthy and enough as a mom and an individual. I talk about inherent worthiness versus earned worthiness and how you are born worthy but the stories, expectations, and beliefs we are exposed to as children and throughout our life form belief pathways about what success is and what doing enough is and what we have to do and achieve and become to be considered worthy. We have to recognize the belief pathways we have been passively letting run the show in our mind and instead choose intentional belief pathways that support our connection to our inherent worhtiness and align with how we want to live our lives. This episode includes a special treat with a guided meditation on feeling worthy, confident, and enough.Connect with Kassy: Website: www.kassysunshine.com Instagram: @kassysunshinelifecoachRelated episodes:Ep 17 Building Empowered Belief Pathways to Overcome Fear and Self-DoubtQuote:"I want to teach my daughter that her worthiness is internal. In today's episode, I tell you all about how I applied and got accepted into a reality TV show for entrepreneurs! This episode is about how challenging it can be to show up as mom and be what everyone needs from you when the world or your world feels heavy. As moms, I truly believe we become much more empathetic than the average person (one of our superpowers and one of our challenges) so when the world feels heavy, we really feel that. You are still human mama, you still feel just like everyone else does. It can be so hard to feel helpless and unsure how to navigate these heavy times, so you have to be extra vigilant to protect yourself, protect your energy and make sure to give yourself some extra love and self-care and time to fill your cups up. You have to pour into others extra during times like this so it’s more important than ever to try and replenish your cups as best you can. This episode is meant to be from my mama heart to yours and feel like a big hug saying you’re not alone, I know this is hard, you’re allowed to admit it is hard, take care of yourself and you’re not in this alone.*this is not a political episode or expressing any particular viewpoint on world issues.Connect with Kassy: Website: www.kassysunshine.com Instagram: @kassysunshinelifecoach
In today's episode, I'm sharing five powerful mantras for staying strong during life's turbulent moments. This episode shares the importance of Belief Pathways in shaping the results we get in our lives, careers, and businesses. Everything starts with our beliefs and ultimately those beliefs lead to our thoughts, our feelings, our actions, and our results. By understanding belief pathways and optimizing them, we can be more in control of the results we get in our lives and the success we find. We can increase confidence, become more resilient, pivot during challenges and roadblocks, and maintain progress forward on our goals even when challenged. We can also be more in control over the fears, doubts, and anxieties we feel and how much of an impact they have on our goals and lives.Working on optimizing our belief pathways can lead to true long-term transformation of our mindset which is why it is such important work.Connect with Kassy: Website: www.kassysunshine.com Instagram: @kassysunshinelifecoachQuote:“At first, you're always going to want to default back to what you've known, back to those belief pathways that have been built in there for a really long time. In today's episode, I explain how to cope with the anxiety, guilt, and worry when you want to be everything for your kids, partner, and friends all at the same time, but just simply can’t.You are a human being mama, NOT just a mom. You are complex and have so many parts to your identity and so many roles that you serve. You really don’t have to be everything to everyone all at the same time.Key takeaways from this episode:Find harmony between your different roles. embrace letting them ebb and flow and sometimes some will take priority over othersRemember that you are not a bad mom for taking time to prioritize other things in your life. You are allowed to be a partner, a sister, a daughter, a friend, and just yourself as well and honor those roles too. You are a good mom and the fact that you care so much shows that!Learn to recognize the facts versus the truth. The facts are the tangibles of a situation. We don’t always control all of those and can’t always make them exactly what we want. This episode will air a few days before my birthday so I wanted to do an episode on some of the top takeaways and life lessons I gained from year 33 that I thought would help other mamas too. This has been a big year for us. We moved cross country, I changed careers, started my podcast, and all while raising a daughter from year 1 to 2. If you have kids you know A LOT of growth happens in years 1 -2 so it’s been an interesting journey. I have really come to realize that as our kids are growing and developing and evolving, so are we. We have just as much growth as them and that is pretty incredible. So year 33 really taught me:That it is okay to make life choices that don’t make sense to other people. We need to stop putting so much energy into rationalizing it or explaining our choices because we are the only ones that know our intuition and internal GPS. So make your choices, embrace them, and live your life the way that feels right for you. There is no trophy at the end of life for the people who lived the ‘best’ life or closest to the ‘right’ way. The right way is the way that makes you feel alive and happy.Boundaries are hard as s*^t to set, but so freaking important. I am pretty terrible at them, but this year really taught me that it is OKAY to set boundaries, with anyone even family, to protect your mindset, your energy, and your life. Family is not a free pass for dragging you down or mistreating you.It is okay to sometimes spend money on things that don’t have a huge monetary ROI or practical life ROI. Sometimes you need to spend money on the memories, the experiences, or the gambles and that is okay! You never know what you may get from those chances.Relationships have seasons and some wilt and never bloom again, but others will bloom. They can find their way back. The puzzle pieces can fit together again. Sometimes you have to grow as individuals first and then rebuild together. It can be hard not knowing, but never give hope if a relationship is important enough. We can do hard things. Mama, you are SUPERHERO. You do hard things all the time and no matter what mountain you’re climbing right now you can do it. It might feel awful, but you are incredibly powerful and resilient.Wear the dang bikini. Be in the experiences. Love your body, imperfections and all because that body has done some incredible things and will continue to do incredible things. It is special and deserves to be loved and celebrated no matter the state it is in.Connect with Kassy: Website: www.kassysunshine.com Instagram: @kassysunshinelifecoachQuote:“Sometimes our relationships have to go through seasons and they do bloom again. We are often told it takes a village to raise kids…but that village is often about help for the kids…but what about help for mama? In this episode I am going to share about the importance of building your mama village and the 5 types of people I believe every mama should have in her village. As moms we have limited time and energy, especially for human relationships, so we have to be intentional about the people we have in our life and invest ourselves into. It’s not to say relationships should be transactional, but more so we need to protect our energetic bubbles and choose wisely who we have in our corner. We all have buckets that need to be filled up in order to pour into the ones we love and these 5 types of people can help us fill those buckets so we can show up for others.Connect with Kassy: Website: www.kassysunshine.com Instagram: @kassysunshinelifecoachQuote:“That's when you need a person in your life who can believe for you and your dreams, even when you can't.” - Kassy
This episode is a call to action for my mama community! How often do we get asked the question, "how are you" or "how is/was your day", and what do we say 99.9% of the time?!We say we’re good…when I KNOW we’re not good 99.9% of the time. I want us to normalize being honest when we’re not okay. When life is kicking our butt. When we are struggling. It doesn’t mean we have to dump our personal lives on everyone, but we need to find safe places to be able to admit when we’re not okay. We don’t have to be superhuman all the time, at the end of the day we are also just human and that is okay! Let’s make it easier for the next generation of moms to not always feel the pressure to put on a happy face and instead share the real, non-highlight-reel version of their life.Connect with Kassy: Website: www.kassysunshine.com Instagram: @kassysunshinelifecoachQuote:“We are still human beings and we don't give ourselves enough credit as moms with all the things that we are carrying on our shoulders and in our minds.” - Kassy

I also discuss the benefits of coaching (when done right) and some red flags to look out for when choosing a coach. This episode is straight from my heart about embracing our evolutions and not getting stuck by fear or feeling like we have to 'stay the course' on a path we have been pursuing. Life is meant to be lived as a series of chapters and with each new one brings new desires, goals, dreams, values, etc and that is a good thing. As moms, we go through a massive evolution and we need to give ourselves permission to pivot where we feel called to as long as we are doing it based on what is most aligned for us. I made some massive pivots in my career and business lately and this episode shares a bit of that journey and why it is so important for us to allow ourselves to evolve and pivot when life is calling us in a new direction. The unknown can be scary and uncomfortable, but if we are never scared or uncomfortable then we are never growing and evolving and that is what we are meant to do.Connect with Kassy: Website: www.kassysunshine.com Instagram: @kassysunshinelifecoachRelated episodes:Ep 5 Trusting Your Intuition: The Importance of Connecting to your Internal GPS System for Better Clarity and DirectionQuote:“Time is our most precious resource. This episode is about the power of compounding action in order to take more effective results-driven actions in your career & business/life goals so that you move those dreams forward faster with less input of stress, energy and time. This episode talks about the importance of building a confident mindset as the foundation for building your dreams. We often see mindset work as a nice-to-have to not a big priority, but it is actually the foundation for our dreams and goals to stand on. Our mindset is what will help us weather doubts, fears, insecurities, and anxiety about what if's. This episode shares 3 best practices for building a confident mindset:1. Controlling the narrative or stories you attach to things that happen in your life. 2. Protect what you let into your energetic bubble. You don't have to 'receive' things that people say or put out there that don't serve you. 3. Practicing gratitude on a consistent basis. Tune in, you don't want to miss it!
