That’s our brain’s negativity bias at work. Our brain tends to velcro the negative over the positive.
The good news is that we can train our brains to begin to do the opposite
In this episode Christy shares 2 practices you can start doing now to help rewire your brain to begin to velcro the positive.

This is a perfect guided meditation for beginners. For many of us, we tend to be going about our busy lives living on autopilot, not conscious of our thoughts, reactions or even being attuned to our body. Mindfulness is the process of paying attention to what’s happening right now in our own experience in a curious and open way non-judgmentally. It takes us off autopilot and the constant need to go, go, go and helps us to slow down, quiet our mind and pay attention. It helps us to live in a way we can choose how we want to respond to life’s challenges versus living in a constant reactive state where we tend to regret our actions. Mindfulness gives us our power back to know when to listen to our mind and when to ignore it. We can develop good habits of the mind that lead to more inner peace and emotional freedom. Mindfulness helps us observe the mind and begin to understand how it works.
For this practice, Christy guides you in slowing down and observing your mind while using a home base.

In this episode Christy guides you through a mindfulness meditation where you explore with your posture and how it effects your concentration skill.
Key points:
When it comes to practicing mindfulness, what we discover is our posture matters. When we have a slouched posture, we tend to lose our concentration quicker than if we had an alert posture.
For some of us, it may be easier to concentrate when we close our eyes so we can really take in all the sounds around us or notice what it feels like in our body to breathe.
When practicing mindfulness, an alert posture is important because it can help us concentrate better.
