This episode is about the self-doubt and feeling of not being good enough when perfectionism and overwhelm takes over the steering wheel.I get into how I’m actively working to rewire this pattern (at least as much as I can), and something I’ve specifically worked on the last weeks: healing my inner child and reparenting myself. There’s also a snippet of what idolising an older sibling can look like.I’m so grateful that you’re here. In this episode I’m talking about becoming a mama of two, and how despite having my dream birth, I experienced postpartum depression. I know the nature of the content of this episode can be difficult and triggering for some to listen to. Please see the timestamps below, and skip what’s not for you.I’m also talking about choosing myself and self-love, and working my way out of depression. This definitely is sharing something that feels a bit too personal to share, but that’s why I choose to do it. To contribute to openness and hopefully more people talking about it without the shame. After recording, I realised I hadn't talked about my partner as my rock through my struggles. In this episode he seems to barely be an extra in my life. And that felt incredibly unfair in my opinion. He's supporting, loving, comforting, understanding, and he goes above and beyond with the children - always!TIMESTAMPS:00:00 – Intro.02:12 – About this episode.06:15 – Thoughts about postpartum depression/depression in general.07:29 – Some of the things you may go through as a new mama.08:42 – Recap of my second birth story.10:24 – About my experience with postpartum depression.12:01 – About my self-destructive thoughts and out-of-proportion worries.13:23 – About the ugliness of getting triggered while struggling with depression, and how that turned me into a completely different person.15:02 – When my self-hate took over and I didn’t want to exist.16:05 – About my childhood trauma surfacing through triggers.17:30 – About taking my first steps away from depression with lots of trial and error.20:09 – Making some helpful discoveries.23:03 – Facing my demons and choosing myself and self-love.25:02 – About the SELFLOVE app and who it’s intended for.26:58 – About my 6 A’s Roadmap to SELFLOVE.29:22 – Some wise words I’ve picked up along my path. In this episode I talk about goals. Setting them is easy but reaching them is another story. I’ve reflected a bit on my own journey and history of goalsetting and failing to attain my goals. And I tell you what I’m choosing to do this year instead of the usual new year resolution.I also get into the story of when I did my first travel alone since having children. First things first: I’m so grateful that you’re here! Thank you! You have no idea what it means to me.In this episode I’m getting into worrying, especially about the dreadful stomach flu, and a bit about how I’ve let worries steer my life up until now. I’m also talking about what I’m doing to worry less, and my plans to take back my life and start living more. There are also bits of mountaineering and Christmas spirit in there. First things first: I’m so grateful that you’re here! Thank you! You have no idea what it means to me.This episode is kind of a scramble of thoughts and topics, reflecting my mind nowadays. I’m getting into taking responsibility in my own life, the need of outer validation and motivation, and I'll touch on the topic of mindset. I’ll also talk a little about shit (dog shit, that is, if you’d like to skip it (haha…ha…) you can jump to 01:55) and a mysterious uneasy feeling I’ve been having lately. First things first: I’m so grateful that you’re here! This almost feels unbelievable. So, thank you! You have no idea what it means to me.In this episode I get into perfectionism and overthinking. I’m talking a bit about how I’m impacted by both and how I’m working my way towards a less perfectionistic brain. I also share about “no” being the most used word in our house these days, I make a request, and I gather the courage to ask for your help. Thank you in advance!Sorry about my voice. It barely made it through recording this time because of my cold. You’ll find me on Instagram @mypathto_selflove. First things first: I’m so grateful that you’re here! This almost feels unbelievable. So, thank you! You have no idea what it means to me.In this episode I’m getting into some of the tools I use when I need to shift my perspective and work my way out of negative thinking and spiralling, back into the moment and to myself. I also touch onto more philosophical ground – for me at least, and I kept a little blooper in my recording. Usually, I go straight to my first language when f*cking up, but this time I actually continued in English. If you want to check out Heart Mentality, you can find them here:Instagram: @teamheartmentalityWebpage: heartmentality.comYou’ll find me on Instagram @mypathto_selflove. First things first: I’m so grateful that you’re here! This almost feels unbelievable. So, thank you! You have no idea what it means to me. In this episode I’m sharing a snippet from my life that I wasn’t sure if I wanted to share. It felt too private, and it was something I initially wanted to keep for myself. In the end, I decided to share it because it was so beautiful. I’m also telling the story about what happened when I got myself far off my path without even noticing before I just about had myself back in a depression. I'm trying to learn how to use my recording equipment and edit my recordings. Not being a techy person makes this a slow process. Bear with me! In the end I just had to let it go and think «this is good enough». Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
