My most highly requested topic and one very close to my heart. Something that everyone deals with whether that's through their own experience or through someone in their life. Divorce, separation, marriage, and family structures in general are constantly changing and so are our views on them. I really wanted to share my 2 cents in a topic that I personally believe more people need to speak on. A huge shout out to my family who are all absolute legends and have tackled this with respect and maturity the whole way through. If you have any questions or want to speak to someone about this my Dm's are ALWAYS open and I would be more than happy to have a chat. Much love, Tay M3
I am so grateful to have the host of one of NZ's top podcasts joining me today, Sarah Kelsey from OneUp Project! Sarah is the epitome of someone who doesn't have it all figured out but starts the things and figures it out along the way. She is authentic, genuine, down-to-earth, and always looking to give back to her community. She was someone who didn't have a "thing" but saw a problem in the education system and set out to change that. OneUp has now grown so much and Sarah has branched out into different products and events that help people literally get a "One up" in their life. Thank you so much for joining me Sarah, and I look forward to continuing to follow your journey! We've all heard of it, some of us do it religiously, others dabble in it, and the rest stay far far away. In this episode, I offer a refreshing look at goal setting that helps you reframe goals themselves and provide different versions of goal setting that aren't as traditional. There are lots of practical tips and tricks in this one so I think you'll enjoy it! Thank you for all of the support so far! I dive into why creating an alter ego is actually proven to reduce anxiety and improve confidence and HOW you can create one. This is such a fun exercise to do and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to level up in any area of life! Please feel free to DM me how this exercise was for you and what you came up with! Much love homies, Tay xx
I am so excited to share this poddy because Deb has a story the world needs to hear. After a gnarly mountain bike crash, Deb was left with a long-term head injury and was out from work for months. After extensive recovery and time off, she realized she had a passion project she wanted to have a go at. StokedNZ was born; her first product was a towelie you could take with you on your adventures and get changed under, it was a hit. Since then, she has expanded into a range of clothing and homeware and is absolutely thriving. Sustainability was always a priority as Deb sources her materials from a family business in Turkey, her decisions as a leader and entrepreneur are commendable as she puts the people and planet first. You can hear more about StokedNZ on Instagram @stokednz and see their products at https://stokednz.co.nz As always, you can find me on Insta @tayla_christensen, Happy listening and much love homies! The man, the myth, the legend, Fin Barnett! It was an honor to have Fin on the poddy, a genuine kiwi lad with a lot of love and knowledge to give. He plays on the NZ Touch team, has his own poddy, Ellen Ave, AND works on his startup Flat Essentials, all while being an all-round good guy! I hope you enjoy this episode and if you need to find fin or anything he is involved with, you can do so here; Fin's Personal: @barneybarnett01 Fin's Podcast: @ellenave_ Fin's Startup: @flatessentials And as always, you can find me on Insta at @tayla_christensen, Much love and happy listening, Tay xx
This woman blows my mind and I'm so honored she joined me on the poddy! She is a serial entrepreneur and investor, a Forbes 30 under 30 nominee, obsessed with tech and startups and real estate and AI and VR and space and race cars and is (obviously) always pushing boundaries and defying stereotypes. She is outgoing and confident and often described as "too much " and that is EXACTLY why I love her! Thank you, thank you, thank you for joining me Sydney, I am in AWE of you! 2021 was a huge year for all of us as we continued to navigate a global pandemic and figure out what the fuck we were doing. My year has consisted of a LOT of change, multiple jobs, cities, and countries, a new relationship, and many highs and lows. I don't think I quite comprehended how much was going on until I sat down and reflected. For the first time ever, I did a full year reflection courtesy of Jonny Millers' Reflecting Forwards Guide that can be found here, https://reflectingforwards.com I will now be doing this EVERY year as I found so much value from it and I urge you to do the same. Whether it's using the same guideline or crafting your own, so much good can come from sitting down and taking a moment to process it all. As always, I'm always here if you need anything and you can find me on Insta @tayla_christensen or @piggyback.club Happy listening, much love! Tay xx
This week's episode features Taylor Rapley, founder of Ahua Mental Skills and ex-elite athlete in alpine skiing. Taylor holds a BSc Msc in Psychology and focuses on teaching mental skills to help resilience, performance, and wellbeing. I got to dive deep into Taylor's past experiences in alpine skiing, what it was like ending her athletic career, personal struggles with mental health, and her transition into psychology. I got so many golden nuggets from my chat with Taylor and I'm so excited to share them with you! If you want to contact Taylor you can find her Instagram @ahuamentalskills or her website https://ahuamentalskills.com. Hola Amigas!!!! Who would have thought I would be living in SPAIN??? Not me. Also, who would have thought I would be PLAYING FOOTBALL AGAIN???? Also not me. Life is wild, life happens quickly, and life is meant to be filled with lots of stories we can tell our kids about. Moving to Spain to play football again after two years off in the middle of a pandemic is one for the books. Enjoy! As always, I'm always here for a yarn or if you have any questions! Much love, Tay xx
One of my favorite eps to record because these 3 girls are absolute legends and you can hear their passion and love for what they do absolutely OOZING out of every word. Bertie, Grace, and Connie have all united around their central purpose to live as environmentally conscious as possible. They are combining their love for the ocean, surfing, and the planet by starting with an environmentally conscious surf brand. A humble brand with humble beginnings, Surf Social Club's first product was a sustainable surfboard sock and they already have t-shirts, stickers and the CUTEST tote bags in the works! I know these girls have huge dreams to grow this brand and community and it was such a pleasure while it's still in its first year! Go follow the girls on Instagram @surfsocial.club and check out their website www.surfsocialclub.com.au! As always, thank you for listening, if always here for a yarn at @tayla_christensen or @piggyback.club Much love, Tay xx
An incredible person and athlete, Shaun Kirkham is the only rower to have been in the NZ 8 boat since it started 8 years ago. They saw initial success winning U23 World Champs and then went on a very long losing streak. Shaun has seen it all and been through a lot of lows to reach the gold medal at Tokyo 2021. We cover so many things in this chat including how to build a team culture, how to deal with the lows of an athlete, the sacrifices it takes to reach the top, and why it's important to remember you're a human before an athlete. Enjoy! Feel free to reach out to Shaun at skrowing.co.nz to have a chat or to book him for a speaking event! And as always, I'm always here to chat @piggyback.club or @tayla.christensen, happy listening! Much love, xx
Sometimes you've just got to be honest with yourself and call yourself out on your bullshit. Today was one of those days. We all have our shit but it's important to try and recognize how it is impacting you and your relationships. This is basically just a rant and me talking through some of that shit! Enjoy! As always, the DM's are open at @tayla_christensen or @piggyback.club if you want a yarn or have a question! Much love, Tay xx

Inspired by my blog written a couple of years ago - "The environment we create for ourselves and live in will have a direct impact on our happiness. Recognize this is something we can control by the people we listen to, movies we watch, the area we live in, the time we spend on our phone, who we choose to follow, and what we give energy to." I wanted to speak on this and dive a little deeper. I hope you can resonate with at least a small part of this! As always, I'm always keen for a chat in the DM's at @piggyback.club or @tayla_christensen Much love, Tay xx
Dear Students... A letter I wrote 3 years ago (mainly to myself) when I realized how lucky I actually was and how temporary my situation was. As always, I'm always there in the DM's if you want to chat @piggyback.club or @tayla_christensen Much love, Tay xx
