Today marks 28 years since the tragic double homicide at Mission Viejo that shocked Orange County, California. A young mother and her 5-month-old son were brutally murdered in broad daylight, and despite suspicions of premeditation from the police due to the mother's 18 stab wounds, justice was not served. The case should have had a single trial, but due to one police error and multiple trials, the culprit still walks free.
