Hello, I am Pamela Henriksen and this is Soul Project! On this, my first official episode I talk with Deb Henriksen founder and designer for Equillibrium, a sustainable streetwear brand. Deb is an incredibly talented, intelligent and passionate fashion designer based in Denver, Colorado, she also happens to be my sister! With a degree in Environmental Health and a background in environmental consulting and hazardous waste management Deb has developed a keen awareness for environmental issues. In 2000 Deb combined her long-time passion for fashion and design with her environmental awareness and love of Colorado skate culture and created Equillibrium. A pioneer in sustainable fashion, Deb has made her mark on the Denver fashion scene. Combining inspiration from her science background, fashion roots, skate/punk culture and environmental activism Deb creates unique garments using carefully curated sustainable textiles.
