Emotionally navigating the eclipse season March 2025

Hello my love, so let me just say it the last few weeks have been something alright. As you’re listening to this it’s pre recorded because I am currently in the city of angels Los Angeles. If you’ve been feeling off, sensitive or in the ringer so to speak it thankfully it ain’t just you honey, I feel your pain.

I’ve always been someone who emotionally processes my feelings, especially with my emotional authority in Human Design and my water placements, which guide me to feel deeply and reflect before responding. I’m used to working through my emotions internally, allowing myself time to feel and then release.

But this eclipse, the Virgo one last Friday, caught me completely off guard. Instead of my usual emotional release, I found myself physically processing in a way I’d never experienced before. I woke up to rashes erupting all over my body, a full-blown physical manifestation of processing, discomfort, and overwhelm.

Physical vs emotional processing eclipse season

It felt like my body was communicating in a way I wasn’t expecting, forcing me to slow down and pay attention to what I’d been pushing aside. The reality of the time line approaching? The raises starting a week before a long haul flight LA the timing couldn’t have been more intense. I’ve always trusted that the universe has a way of showing us what we need to see, but this felt like a big, physical reminder to listen to my body in a new way. It was almost as though my body was saying, “Hey, it’s time to process everything—not just emotionally, but physically too.”

This unexpected physical eruption further cemented how deeply our bodies are intertwined with our emotions and how sometimes we can’t bypass what needs to be released. I’m understanding myself more that while I’ve often relied on my emotional authority to guide me, there’s also wisdom in tuning into the physical cues my body gives me.

I feel like this year I have experienced myself and held space for clients with more skin issues than usual. The skin, IS the body’s largest organ, holds deep spiritual significance, acting as a physical boundary between the inner and outer worlds.

Spiritual meaning of skin

The skin isn’t separated, it’s one, hence my rashes started flaring on my face and are also on my legs the next day you know?

It is not just a protective layer; it is a reflective surface that reveals our emotional and spiritual health. When the skin undergoes a detox process, whether through physical symptoms like rashes or through practices like sweating or exfoliating, it is often a sign that old, stagnant energy is being released. Spiritually, detoxing through the skin signifies shedding emotional baggage, past traumas, or accumulated stress that no longer serves the body or spirit. It’s a way of allowing new, fresh energy to enter, just as the body sheds old skin cells to make room for new growth.

Spiritually, the skin can also symbolise how one interacts with the world—how deeply someone absorbs or blocks external influences. When the skin reacts to toxins, it’s often a reminder to pay attention to what is being taken in, whether emotionally, mentally, or physically. If there is a build-up of toxic relationships, negative thoughts, or environments that aren’t aligned with one’s true essence, the skin can serve as a warning or a means of release. Detoxing, then, isn’t just about cleansing the body; it’s a deeper call to clear away energies that don’t support our highest good and to create a more harmonious relationship with the world around us.

The skin has its own intelligence, revealing truths that may otherwise go unnoticed. When issues arise on the skin’s surface, it often reflects the state of the inner self. A spiritual cleanse can manifest through skin detoxification as the body asks for attention, care, and love. By honouring the skin as an organ of both protection and expression, the process of detoxing can be an invitation to reconnect with one’s essence, aligning physical care with spiritual renewal.

It’s been about standing tall as individuals while navigating the art of connection and compromise with others. Eclipses bring big, transformative energy, often pushing us to face deep truths and make major shifts. While the energy of this last eclipse is undeniably powerful, it’s also a moment of release and closure, which means things will start to feel lighter. The emotional intensity that we’ve been navigating may start to calm down, giving us space to breathe and reflect.
