Descend into the depths of the Scorpio Full Moon —an astrological and human design moment that asks us to release what we can no longer control, to surrender what no longer serves and to trust in the darkness: death and rebirth. We explore the energy at play, including that of the “Finger of God” pointing toward the Moon, inviting profound emotional reckoning and soul level redirection. I’ll share what this lunation means through the lens of Human Design’s Energy Assimilation and offer reflections, mindset shifts and journal prompts to help you honour your own inner rebirth. This isn’t about fixing yourself— it’s about letting go so the real you can rise.

The full moon this month in May 2025 is happening in Scorpio
Hello my love,
How are you feeling in the thick of this full moon, arguably one of the most intense for 2025 if we didn’t already get served that with the ending of the eclipse season. The full moon is on the 12th of May 2025 and 13th of May 2025 here in Australia.
This is not a moon for surface-level insights. It’s a time of depth, transformation and truth telling. Scorpio doesn’t whisper; it pierces. In this episode I’m explore the energies at play, including powerful energetic formations and and the voice of assimilation in Human Design, a voice that reminds us that real clarity arises from the silence after we’ve surrendered control. This is your permission slip to stop trying to fix, rush, or control anything and instead, let the mystery reveal itself to you.
What planets rule Scorpio? Mars and Pluto
It’s the Scorpio full moon. Scorpio is ruled by two planets: Mars and Pluto. Mars is considered the traditional ruler, and Pluto is the modern ruler. Both of these planets explain different layers of Scorpio’s intense and mysterious personality.
Mars, in astrology, is the planet of action, drive, and passion. It’s all about how you go after what you want. Before Pluto was discovered, Mars was the only ruler of Scorpio. While Mars also rules Aries (which is bold and fast), in Scorpio, Mars shows up in a more controlled, focused way. Instead of charging forward like Aries, Scorpio’s Mars is more strategic, emotionally driven, and intense. Think of it like a slow-burning fire — it might look calm on the outside, but it’s powerful underneath.
Then there’s Pluto, which was discovered in the 1930s. Even though it’s a tiny planet (and no longer considered a planet by astronomers), astrologers gave it to Scorpio because its energy matched so well. Pluto is about transformation, power, secrets, and the cycle of death and rebirth — emotionally, spiritually, or even literally. This gives Scorpio its reputation for being deep, mysterious, and a little bit obsessed with what’s under the surface. Pluto’s influence makes Scorpio want to understand the truth behind things, even if it’s dark or uncomfortable.
Death is the beginning for Scorpio transformation
Together, Mars and Pluto explain why Scorpio energy can feel so intense because it’s driven (Mars), and it’s deep and transformative (Pluto). Scorpio doesn’t just want the surface-level version of life. It wants to go all the way down to the core: to understand, to feel, to change, and to rise again stronger.
Scorpio whispers to you that you are not here to stay the same. You are here to shed skin again and again until your essence gleams clean and true beneath the weight of all you’ve outgrown. You are here to walk willingly into the fire, not because you enjoy the burn, but because you know the ashes will teach you how to rise.
Let the identity that no longer fits dissolve.
Let the fear of being too much or too deep fall away.
Let the past version of you be honoured and buried.
Sometimes death is the beginning not the kind that ends life, but the kind that ends the pretending. The kind that clears the noise, the masks, the outdated roles. In the stillness that follows, you don’t need to rush to rebuild. Just breathe. Notice what remains. What’s true will stay. What’s real will rise. This is the quiet power of rebirth: not in becoming something new, but in remembering what’s always been beneath it all.
The Scorpio Full Moon is asking you to confront and face things head on
Energetically, Scorpio is about facing the shadows, confronting what’s hidden, and diving into the depths of our own psyche. The Full Moon in Scorpio brings to light what has been suppressed or avoided, urging us to release the emotional baggage, attachments or illusions we’ve been carrying. Scorpio energy is intensely purging, but also regenerative.
This isn’t about forcing change; it’s about allowing change to unfold through release. The Full Moon’s illumination creates a powerful moment for soul-level growth — it’s nature’s cosmic invitation to let go of what no longer serves us and to rise anew, more authentic and aligned with our truest self.
Scorpio is the Zodiac’s seductress
Scorpio is the Zodiac’s seductress and knowing that you don’t need to chase anything — things are drawn to you when you align with your authentic self. Scorpio teaches that true seduction is rooted in self confidence, in the ability to sit in your own power without needing validation. Let go of the idea that you have to prove anything. Let your energy speak for itself. Trust that when you are fully you, the right people and opportunities will naturally gravitate toward you
Under this Full Moon in May, perhaps the greatest act of seduction is to seduce yourself — to fall in love with your own mystery, your own depth, your own complexity. Scorpio energy is about exploring the hidden corners of your soul, uncovering truths that you’ve kept tucked away. It’s not about seeking approval or validation from others; it’s about embracing your own power and allure, even when no one else is watching.
Scorpio Sensuality
Seduction here isn’t about enticing others; it’s about captivating yourself. Slow down and become deeply present with your own energy. Feel the sensuality in your own existence, the way your body moves through the world, the way your thoughts and dreams intertwine. There’s a quiet allure in honouring your inner world — an invitation to fall in love with your own essence. It’s about creating a connection with yourself so deep, so unshakeable, that nothing and no one can disturb your peace.
Let go of control with the Scorpio Full Moon
Something else that strongly comes through when I channel the energy of this full moon is the invitation to release the tight grip you have on control. Do you not trust life and the universe, it’s infinite wisdom and intelligence that it created us and life perfectly?
The more you try to control the outcomes, the more you distance yourself from the flow of life.
Scorpio teaches us that surrender isn’t a sign of weakness, but of profound strength. It is in the act of letting go that you make room for true transformation. Trust that life is unfolding in a way that you cannot yet see, but will soon understand. Your attachment to how things “should” be is the very thing that blocks your growth.
Relinquish the need for certainty. Life’s most significant moments often arrive unexpectedly, and they demand your ability to trust in the process. Releasing control doesn’t mean you’re passive — it’s about being active in your trust, fully embracing the ebb and flow of life’s changes. When you trust the process, you align with the natural rhythm of the universe, and things unfold as they should. Remember, you are not in control of every situation, but you are always in control of how you respond and right now, the most powerful response is to let go.
Scorpio and the Underworld
Not only does Scorpio seduce it rules the underworld a space not of darkness and fear but of deep transformation. The underworld represents the parts of ourselves that we often bury, the emotions and experiences that we hide from the surface, fearing they might overwhelm us.
Yet, it is only by descending into this shadowy realm that we can truly know ourselves. Scorpio’s energy urges you to face the unconscious, to uncover the parts of your psyche that are waiting to be seen and healed. In the underworld, there are no pretences, no facades. What is real is revealed, and what is no longer necessary can be shed.
