Judi Moreo has presented keynote speeches, workshops, and seminars in twenty-seven countries on four continents. She is an accomplished author with nine books to her credit including Conquer the Brain Drain: 52 Creative Ways to Pump Up Productivity, Ignite the Spark: 52 Creative Ways To Boost Creativity, Delivering Exceptional Customer Service .... a handbook for the Customer Service Person Working At The Front Line, and her bestselling, You Are More Than Enough and its companion, Achievement Journal.



Moreo was a senior executive in a major media group in South Africa during the end of the apartheid era.  Prior to taking the position in South Africa, she was a highly successful entrepreneur.  The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce honored her as a “Woman of Achievement – Entrepreneur” and upon her return to the United States, Moreo founded Turning Point International, a training and development company. The US Business Advisory Council recently named her “Nevada Business Person of the Year.” Moreo has served as President/Executive Director of Turning Point International for 18 years.

What motivated her to start a business in the first place?



Judi is an entrepreneur at heart. She has the need to set her own hours and do her own thing.



Did she start the business on the side or dive in full-time?



Full-time



What were the first steps that she took?



In the corporate training business, Judi had a business partner who cold called companies to offer their services. Judi also took every speaking opportunity to publicize her business.

What advice would she give to someone who is starting their journey into entrepreneurship?



Look at people who are successful and ask them what made them successful and what did they do to get there. Find somebody who is doing what you want to do and try to learn about them as much as possible. Try to work with mentors to learn from them.
