That’s right, the dudes are finally taking on taxation in their series on Politics and Theology. Jesus seems to be pretty clear about taxes: render unto Caesar! In one sense, this famous passages from the Gospels really is cut-and-dry, but is there something more going on in this passage: perhaps a different point that Jesus is trying to make other than legitimizing the Roman state? The guys also tackle several other tax-related passages and try to do a bit of topical theology to stitch them all together.
