#30 Therapy is an impulse for self-healing. Conversation with professor Franz Ruppert, founder of the IoPT trauma release theory and therapy
Description
In this episode, Franz Ruppert tells us that he was not wanted as a child. His parents got married because he was on his way. The birth process was also traumatizing. His mother felt as if she were bleeding to death, which made Franz feeling left alone.
Feeling unwanted and left alone, constitute the start of Franz’ personal trauma biography.
In this episode we talk not only about childhood trauma, but more importantly we talk about the turning point when he, quite unhappy despite his academic success,
decided to start seeking for support and help to release his own trauma.
The willingness to trust others and ask for help was essential for Franz in order to becoming himself; a subject in his own life. Thus, embracing his own
personal healing journey, allowed him to gradually develop IoPT, Identity-Oriented Psychotrauma Theory/Therapy, which is a therapeutic approach,
where the therapist and client(s) meet at a deeper level, via the human ability to resonate. Because, resonating, or should we say; empathetically tapping into a fellow human beings' subconscious feelings and experiences is indeed possible, if the parties involved are willing to intentionally open up.
We also talk about the importance of self-love, and why self-love can be so hard, and about self-healing as an empowering life-long journey.
