Description

【Episode Introduction】

From the perspective of "seascape," how does it differ from "landscape" in our understanding of the world? If the identity is inherently tied to our ways of perceiving the world, does a shared bodily experience of the South exist?

Join us in this captivating episode to explore these questions with Taiwanese curator JowJiun Gong and Nadia Huggins, the artist who was born in Trinidad and Tobago and grew up and is currently based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Together, they engage in a stimulating conversation about fluid identity, seascape epistemology, and the liberating and "true" experiences found in the water captured through Nadia's works. By sharing their personal journeys as misfits and challenging the existing norms of the world, they invite us to reflect upon our own perceptions.

Diving into the sea, we are reminded that the unseen essence of things is waiting to be discovered.
