Description

How can we help disadvantaged young people in New Zealand enter the workforce?

This week, Yvan Gatignon is taking you to the other side of the world to meet Sarah Dann-Hoare. Originally from England, Sarah moved to New Zealand 20 years ago. She began her career as a Special Education teacher before founding Project Employ and later Flourish Café – New Zealand’s first training café, created specifically to support young adults with intellectual disabilities or learning differences in becoming work-ready.

Sarah’s secret recipe? Believing in young people’s potential and putting trust in them. And that trust matters all the more because the young people she supports often lack it themselves.

How can trust help change the world? You'll find out by listening to the inspiring story of Sarah Dann-Hoare.
