Across the nation, Flag Day — June 14 — is the day we, as Americans, honor our nation’s flag, Old Glory, by displaying her in numerous ways to show our patriotism. On this day in 1777, during the American Revolution, the Continental Congress in Philadelphia adopted the “Stars and Stripes” as the official national flag.
