Description

In this episode, Nick speaks at length to the legendary broadcaster Bob Harris, ahead of his evening at The Stables with Martyn Joseph. In a wide-ranging, intimate interview, Bob tells stories about Terry Wogan, John Peel, Marc Bolan, Elton John, David Bowie, Kacey Musgraves, Mick Ronson, The Kinks, Bruce Springsteen and even Sir Alex Ferguson. He talks about Radio Caroline, swinging London in the 60s, Time Out, hosting the Old Grey Whistle Test and his 50 years on the radio. But it's not all been plain-sailing and Bob opens up about serious health issues, his recent marriage breakup and the impact of Covid.

And one of the artists Bob has championed is Shawn Colvin, who speaks to Nick about working with Suzanne Vega, her Grammy awards, her battle with depression and... she reveals why her best known track, Sunny Came Home, is not quite what you think it is.

If you enjoy this series, we'd be extremely grateful if you could leave a rating and write a short review, it really helps us get the word out!
