Description
Three brilliant artists - all of whom are playing at The Stables in the coming months - are in conversation with broadcaster Nick Coffer for this first episode of Turn Up The Volume! from The Stables in Milton Keynes. Curtis Stigers joins Nick from Idaho, talking about his wide-ranging career of over 30 years, revealing a love for British comedy sitcoms and singing a track live from his kitchen. Nell Bryden speaks to us from Manhattan, looking back at being brought up by an opera singer and an artist, her childhood desire to be Maria Callas, the challenges of being an artist, and what keeps her writing, creating and coming back for more. Nick also speaks to guitar virtuoso Antonio Forcione from his home in Italy about his humble roots, his passion for the guitar, and what happened when he forgot to turn his mobile phone of when opening for Phil Collins at the Royal Festival Hall. Finally, Stables Chief Executive Monica Ferguson pops in to give a brief history of this historic venue and looks at what makes it so very special.
