Update: 2025-11-04
Description
Cattle markets kick off November with a bullish start! Live cattle futures surged by $2.50 to $2.80, while feeder cattle futures climbed by $3.70 to $5.40. Auction prices for heifers and feeder steers jumped by $15 to $25, and steer calves saw even bigger gains of $20 to $30. Wholesale boxed beef prices continued to rise, with the choice-select spread at $19.32. Despite a slight dip in the CME Feeder Cattle Index, the cattle markets are off to a dynamic start in November. Cattle producers are adapting to these changing numbers as the month unfolds.
