Cape Town-born singer, songwriter and SAMA Award winner Claire Phillips speaks to Lester Kiewit as part of the show’s continued conversations marking World Homeless Day. After surviving childhood sexual abuse and battling addiction, Claire found herself living on the streets, where two young homeless boys showed her compassion and taught her how to survive. She reflects on that period of her life, what it revealed about resilience and kindness, and how it changed her understanding of those who often go unseen.
