Council tenants to face rent hikes in Sligo

Description
Council tenants in Sligo are set to face a rent increase.
The imminent hike is said to be part of an upcoming rent review which will be conducted by Sligo County Council.
The review is included under the Budget measures for the upcoming year.
It's not yet known how much more a typical tenant in Sligo will have to come with.
Mayor of the Sligo Borough and People Before Profit Cllr Gino O'Boyle was one of three Cllrs who did not support the Budget which passed on Monday.
He believes that the move is a direct result of Central Government failing to adequately fund the local authority and warned that many Sligo people simply cannot afford to pay any extra:
