Tuesdays NYMEX futures trading saw a surge in crude oil and natural gas contracts, with most delivery months experiencing an upward trend in settlement prices. Crude oil, particularly the December twenty-twenty-five contract, closed at $4,206.70, a $19.50 increase. Natural gas futures also rose, with the December twenty-twenty-five contract settling at $6.169, a $2,390 increase. Estimated sales for crude oil reached 188,203 contracts, a significant jump from Monday, while open interest increased by 497 contracts. Natural gas sales also saw a substantial rise to 120,218 contracts, but open interest decreased by 463 contracts.
