Publisher's Summary:
Deathmatch is now a number-one best seller in postapocalyptic science fiction, number one in dystopian science fiction, number one in military science fiction, and number one in war fiction.
Humanity's most fearsome enemy is no longer death.
Alpha and Marsoc meet their match
Lurking in the bush is the dark shadow cast by the operators - a terrifying force every bit their equal in skill, ferocity, and sheer resolve...but utterly unconstrained by humanity, compassion, or brotherhood. Now, to complete their mission and save the world, the operators will have to pay with their lives, or their souls, or possibly both.
One troop descends into hell
Rolling the dice on a last-ditch plan to save London by retrieving the Kazakh's zombie-annihilating virus, Jameson leads his last best men into the dragon's den - an underground bunker home to the savage and hyperskilled Spetsnaz Alfa group. Getting out alive is a million-to-one shot - and then their real problems begin.
The Kennedy is burning
The world's deadliest maritime commando force were made homeless when their battlecruiser went to the bottom of the Atlantic. Now they're looking for payback - and a replacement nuclear-powered warship. But not only is the whole JFK in play - so is Dr. Park, his vaccine design, and thus the fate of the entire world.

Need anti- depressant meds after this series
What did you like best about Deathmatch? What did you like least?
Does anything ever go right in this series? Honestly, I think the only reason I keep listening is hoping something will be a victory. Every situation is ok , ok ,ok, this is going to work out,,,,,,,oh wait, the unexpected happened and things go wrong. How many more books can there be( can I stand) in this series?
What about R. C. Brays performance did you like?
Performance is fine.
Do you think Deathmatch needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
The series needs to be brought to a close. One way or another, enough is enough.

Another Enjoyable Half-book
This is a great series, wonderful writing, mostly authentic and believable (after you accept the whole "zombie apocalypse, end of the world" premise), gripping and action packed. This book is another great listen, continuing the epic tale of tier one combat and survival in Russia and the Horn of Africa, while setting aside (I hope temporarily) the plight of the survivors in Britain. Narration by R.C. Bray is superb, like every one of his readings. R.C is first rate, one of my favorite narrators. I've made the decision to purchase books just because he's the narrator, and he never disappoints. This one is no exception to that rule. He makes the story and the characters come alive.
But this book, like most of the others in the Arisen series (and a rapidly growing number of other book series') is really just half a book. I give it 3 stars overall for just ending in the middle of a cluster of parallel and evolving action sequences, leaving the listener hanging. Again. There are four or more groups of operators in various parts of the world up to their eyeballs battling zombies, the Russians or both at the same time and Fuchs (or his editors) decide to just end the book mid-battle.
