Ep. 86 - Marcelo Guzzo & Anelle Beer Guzzo on Art, Purpose, and Building a Cultural Movement
Description
This week, Adam sits down with two extraordinary humans who are reshaping the cultural heartbeat of Fairfield County: Marcelo Guzzo and Anelle Beer Guzzo, co-founders of Greenwich Opera โ a rising arts institution blending world-class performance, education, and community connection.
Marcelo is a Uruguayan-Italian baritone praised by The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and Opera News for his commanding voice and magnetic stage presence. He has performed lead roles in major opera houses worldwide and collaborated with legends like Andrea Bocelli and Plรกcido Domingo. Today, he serves as Executive Director of Greenwich Opera โ bringing his global artistry into an intimate, local mission.
Anelle is a producer, artist, and former finance executive from Cape Town, South Africa. Her career spans global banking, humanitarian work, creative production, and meaningful initiatives supporting children and incarcerated mothers. Her lifelong connection to music, shaped by her family's legacy and the loss of her twin sister, powers the heart-centered vision she brings to Greenwich Opera.
Together, they are building a cultural house that redefines what opera can be: accessible, soulful, community-driven, and deeply human.
