March is National Down Syndrome Awareness month. Who better to talk about personal experiences with Down Syndrome than my mom. My younger brother Curtis was born in 1982 with Down Syndrome & a defective heart. He was one of the youngest people to ever have open heart surgery. I learned a whole lot experiencing Curtis first hand growing up. It literally changed my life. My sister Amie & I are pledged to put in 321 miles for the month of March. 3.21 is Down Syndrome Day.
