This episode is with James Munce, a friend of mine for nearly 10 years. Over the last 10 years I knew he had had a career in finance and that he had started as a chartered accountant with my husband but didn't really know where his new job as CEO at Abu Dhabi Catalyst partners had taken him. Anecdotally I had heard about some of the interesting partners he has been working with and how much he is making investments in the digital world but I wanted to know more about it and how he had got there.
We hear about how he decided to go into accountancy in the first place, a move to Jersey, working for a bank in the 2008 financial crisis to now working in Abu Dhabi through a global pandemic and becoming the CEO even though he didn't want the limelight.
