Description
Thinking you've found "the one" can be an incredible feeling, but what if that person turns out to be a covert narcissist? In this video, I am joined by Renee Rodriguez who shares her personal experience of what it was like being in a relationship with a covert narcissist and going into a child custody battle with themReneé is an experienced custody strategist, DV advocate, divorce mediator, parenting coordinator (NJ) and instructional designer. Driven by her own past and personal experience with domestic abuse, she takes pride in providing the best strategy possible for her clients’ cases. As the creator of The Custody Blueprint®, her goals include helping protective parents who are in a custody dispute with a high-conflict co-parent to get the custody arrangement that is best for their children, and preparing them for how they should appear to the court and court professionals throughout their court case. Renee's first hand experience is a peek into what it's like being in an abusive DV relationship. Her ex was controlling of everything including her pregnancy, monitoring all her Dr's visits, rationing her food intake, calling the shots for every decision and always constantly blaming her for things that weren't her fault. He would often use their child to control or test her in certain instances. During a casual lunch with a friend, she realized she had been in an abusive relationship and she to plan her exit with her son. She went through a custody battle with her ex to gain full custody of their son and now uses her first hand experience to help protective mothers and parents with narcissistic exes fight for custody for their children.
