Eternal Patterns of Grace

Description
Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to go on a pilgrimage to sacred sites in Europe, starting from Ananda Village in California, a community devoted to the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. We moved on to Ananda Europa near Assisi, Italy, a place linked to St. Francis, whom Yogananda admired. Our journey continued in Spain, where we visited the shrines of St. Teresa of Ávila and St. John of the Cross, culminating in Seville, home of thirteenth-century kings believed to be previous incarnations of Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda. Though these saints belonged to different times and places, the pilgrimage revealed a beautiful interconnectedness in their lives, echoing values of meditation, service, and community. It’s heartening to realize that we are all part of one spiritual family, working tirelessly for a higher purpose. The historical threads, such as Yogananda’s teachings and the resurgence of Christianity by figures like St. Francis and the Spanish kings, remind us that these saints were truly yogis dedicated to God’s will, embodying the essence of yoga as union with the divine.
