Self Denial From The Inside Out

The Challenge of Self-Denial
Of all the lessons Jesus teaches His disciples, perhaps the most difficult is the command to deny ourselves.
It seems to go against every instinct of our human nature. From childhood, we are taught to seek comfort, security, and self-fulfillment. The world around us feeds the idea that the highest goal of life is to “find yourself” or “chase your dreams.” Yet, Christ calls us to something far deeper: to lose ourselves for His sake, so that we might truly find life in Him.
