Cara Kagan is a writer, musician, and author of The Rise, Fall, and Return of Sarah Mandelbaum (Wild Rose Press, 2023). Back when people read actual paper magazines Cara was an editor at Women's Wear Daily, and the Beauty and Fitness Director for YM, Mode, and Elle magazines; she was also a frequent contributor to Harper's Bazaar, Town & Country, Self, Glamour, Real Simple and InStyle. She is most proud of creating Girl magazine, the first and perhaps only magazine for teen girls of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities.
